CANADA VISITOR VISA (TEMPORARY RESIDENT VISA - TRV)

The Canada Visitor Visa—also known as the Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)—allows foreign nationals to enter Canada for tourism, visiting family or friends, or short business trips. It is a short-term visa that does not permit work or study in Canada.

Eligibility Requirements

Application Steps

  1. Complete the TRV application online through the IRCC portal.
  2. Upload required documents (passport, photos, proof of funds, travel purpose).
  3. Pay the visa fee and submit biometrics (if required).
  4. Wait for IRCC’s decision and receive your TRV.

After Arrival in Canada

  • Comply with all conditions listed on your visa.
  • Do not work or study unless authorized by IRCC.
  • Leave Canada before your authorized stay expires.
Tip: You can apply for a multiple-entry TRV valid up to 10 years, allowing you to travel to Canada multiple times during its validity period.
