The Youth Mobility Scheme Visa allows young people from eligible countries to live, work, and travel in the UK for up to 2 years. This scheme encourages cultural exchange and provides valuable international work experience.

Key Features

• Open to individuals aged 18 to 30 (or up to 35 for some countries).
• Valid for 2 years — allowing full-time work, self-employment, or study in the UK.
• Participants can travel freely in and out of the UK during the visa period.
• No sponsorship required — applicants apply directly.
• Not extendable or convertible to another visa type (must apply again from abroad).

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a citizen of an eligible country or territory (e.g., Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, India, and others).
• Be aged 18–30 (or 18–35 for certain countries).
• Have at least £2,530 in savings to support yourself in the UK.
• Meet health and character requirements set by the UK Home Office.
• For Indian applicants: selection is via the Youth Mobility Scheme Ballot.

Application Process

• Apply online through the official UK Government website.
• Submit passport, financial proof, and other required documents.
• Pay the visa fee (£298) and the healthcare surcharge (~£940 per year).
• Attend a biometric appointment and wait for a decision (usually within 3 weeks).

Successful applicants can live and work in the UK for two years, gaining valuable international experience and exploring British culture.
